Onsite $160,000 - $200,000 Full-time Lead

Lead the design team and collaborate with product and engineering teams to create user-centered digital experiences. Conduct UX research, apply design thinking, and optimize conversion rates while mentoring other designers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Design Leadership within Caribou - mentoring Product Designers and partnering with stakeholders such as Brand, Marketing and Sales/ Ops, Lender teams etc.
  • Define the structure, usability, and functionality of digital experiences across the customer journey.
  • Lead UX research to uncover user needs, behaviors, and motivations that inform design decisions.
  • Apply design thinking and other frameworks to drive innovation, solve real customer problems, and influence business outcomes.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to communicate and validate design ideas.
  • Optimize conversion rates using A/B testing, heatmaps, and behavioral insights.
  • Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders through storytelling and data.
  • Monitor post-launch performance and iterate based on user feedback and KPIs.
  • Stay current with UX trends, tools, and technologies—especially in AI.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience in UX design.
  • A passion for tools, automation, and AI.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
  • Proven track record of designing and shipping impactful eCommerce experiences at scale.
  • Organized, curious, and collaborative—thriving in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Experience building and scaling design processes in agile, fast-paced settings.
