Senior Quantitative UX Researcher, Retail Ads Consumer

Define and measure quantitative UX metrics in collaboration with various stakeholders. Conduct research using empirical methods to understand user behavior and improve user experience.
Responsibilities
- Define and measure quantitative UX metrics in collaboration with Product Managers, Designers, Qualitative Researchers, Data Scientists, Engineers, and Program Managers.
- Craft quantitative surveys and log data analysis to size user sentiment, behaviors, and needs.
- Conduct research using methods from computer science, quantitative social science, statistics, econometrics, and other fields to understand user behavior and extract patterns from data sets.
- Examine existing data and product designs to generate hypotheses and plans for high-impact research.
- Prioritize and drive research to improve user experience, communicate findings to stakeholders, and make research findings convincing for both research experts and non-experts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in product research in an applied research setting, or similar.
- Experience in programming languages used for data manipulation and computational statistics (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, C++, Java, or Go).
- Master's degree or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or related field (preferred).
- 3 years of experience working with executive leadership (e.g., Director level and above) (preferred).
- 2 years of experience conducting UX research on products, managing projects, and working in a changing organization (preferred).
- Experience working in SQL in applied research settings (preferred).
- Experience with on and off product surveys and experimental design (preferred).
Key Skills
- Experience in programming languages used for data manipulation and computational statistics (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, C++, Java, or Go).
- Advanced proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including ethnography, contextual inquiry, surveys, usability testing, and statistical analysis.
- Strong ability to synthesize insights into compelling narratives that influence strategy, product roadmaps, and design direction.
- Advanced proficiency with research frameworks and tools (e.g., UserTesting, dscout, Qualtrics, Looker/Tableau, Figma for collaboration).
- Skilled in mixed-method approaches and triangulating insights across qualitative, quantitative, and behavioral data sources.
- Experience working in SQL in applied research settings.
- Experience with on and off product surveys and experimental design.
