Lead a variety of research workstreams aimed at global subscriber acquisition and retention, focusing on subscription experiences and e-commerce. Guide cross-functional teams through a User-Centered Design process, conducting strategic generative user research and usability testing to improve the subscriber experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide UX research insights to equip product and design leadership and working teams with strategic and tactical data to inform product decision making and design solution
  • Conduct global research studies end-to-end including identifying research needs, setting objectives and metrics, determining methods, managing research vendors, coordinating prototype delivery with design, recruiting plan, study session guide, study moderation, survey programming, data analysis, and reporting, and workshops to apply the insights to product decisions and design solutions
  • Hands-on project management of user research studies including project communication, vendor selection and contract management, software tool coordination, cost estimation and forecasting resources, timelines and deliverable schedule, prototype security measures, coordinating recruitment, and lab facility needs
  • Transform complex data into high-quality, actionable insights that inform decision-making across all organizational levels—balancing analytical rigor with the agility required for timely execution
  • Grow the UXR team's global expertise and value to the business; explore new ways to discover user insights, experiment with the latest research methods, stay abreast of customer trends, industry competitive offerings and emerging tech to identify and develop novel solutions

Requirements

  • At least 8+ years of progressively complex practical work experience in a UX Researcher role on a global product development team or consulting group
  • 5+ years leading strategic product research, presenting quantitative and qualitative insights to business decision-makers, and working with product and design teams to apply the findings
  • Graduate degree in Engineering Human Factors, Engineering Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, or similar, with formal training in usability testing and advanced statistical analysis
  • Practical experience conducting consumer market research and usability testing for ecommerce experiences, specializing in high-stakes transactional flows such as purchase paths, payment systems, cancellations, and subscription management
  • Deeply credentialed in qualitative research, with mastery across ethnographic studies, cognitive walkthroughs, co-creation workshops, contextual inquiries, focus groups, concept validation, and usability testing
  • Highly adept at global adaptation across lab-based, remote, and unmoderated formats
  • Expert-level proficiency in quantitative research, including the design of sophisticated customer surveys and application of advanced statistical modeling—such as cluster analysis, regression, and conjoint analysis—to drive data-backed innovation and strategic decision-making
  • Demonstrates strategic agility and a growth mindset, thriving in dynamic environments by applying strong listening, analytical, and organizational skills to clarify ambiguity, solve complex problems, and drive impactful decision-making
  • Strong business acumen, client-management, and communication skills with the ability to adapt research approach and communication to a variety of individual and team working styles
