Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize research opportunities and communicate findings through reports and presentations. Design and execute high-quality research to uncover actionable insights that shape user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers and other UX Researchers to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate research findings through written reports and in-person presentations.
- Lead research roadmaps with multi-phase projects across the portfolio.
- Design, plan and execute rigorous, high-quality research that uncovers actionable insights to shape the direction of user experiences while identifying user needs, pain points, opportunities, and constraints.
- Conduct research using foundational, exploratory and evaluative methodological approaches and tools across the product development life-cycle, synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data from surveys, interviews, analysis and other sources to answer product questions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in an applied research setting (e.g., product or academic), or similar.
- Experience with research design utilizing various methods (e.g., usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.).
- Experience in product research across end-to-end, usability, or generative settings.
Key Skills
- 7 years of experience in a variety of product spaces, applied research settings or academic settings.
- Experience with research design utilizing various methods (e.g., usability studies, surveys, Diary studies, etc.).
- Understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process.
- Ability to showcase a portfolio highlighting multiple projects that demonstrate research methodology application and research artifacts like reports, documents, personas, journey maps, etc.
- Ability to communicate user research findings with cross-functional partners to drive impact.
