The UI Product Designer will create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and prototypes while collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine user experiences. They will also advocate for accessibility and inclusive design principles, ensuring designs meet user needs across multiple platforms.
Responsibilities
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and prototypes.
- Work with flowcharts, user stories, or low-fidelity wireframes to produce high-fidelity designs or prototypes for front-end development.
- Design user interface elements such as menus, tabs, widgets, and navigation components.
- Create and maintain design systems and component libraries in Figma.
- Collaborate with UX Engineers, Product Design Team Lead, and BAs to refine user flows and wireframes into polished UI designs to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Translate complex user needs and business requirements into intuitive and visually compelling interfaces across multiple products and platforms, ensuring consistency and quality according to brand guidelines.
- Design with consideration for multilingual users, varying abilities, and cultural sensitivities.
- Information architecture: Structure content and navigation to ensure it aligns with users’ mental models and supports ease of use.
- Work closely with UX Engineers to ensure design fidelity and feasibility.
- Conduct peer reviews and provide constructive feedback to fellow designers.
- Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design principles.
- Conduct and analyse usability testing and research to gather insights on user behaviour, needs, and pain points to inform design decisions and improve existing designs based on findings.
- Stay up to date with UX/UI design trends, tools, and best practices, especially within Figma and modern UI frameworks.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in UI/Product Design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing web and mobile design projects.
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including auto-layout, variants, prototyping, and design systems.
- Strong portfolio showcasing UI design work across web and mobile platforms.
- Solid understanding of UX principles, responsive design, and interaction design.
- Experience working in agile product teams and collaborating cross-functionally.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with tools like FigJam, Microsoft Suite, UI Kits, and design handoff platforms.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JS) and responsive design principles.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Qualification in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field.
