The Junior UI/UX Designer will support the Digital Solutions team in designing user interfaces and experiences for new digital products and services. Responsibilities include conducting user research, collaborating with stakeholders, and maintaining design systems.
Responsibilities
- Support the Digital Solutions team in designing user interfaces and experiences for new digital products and services
- Assist in conducting user research, gathering feedback, and participating in usability testing to improve designs
- Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to understand business goals and translate them into user-centric design solutions
- Help maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across digital products
- Stay updated on UI/UX design trends and best practices and share insights with the team
- Contribute to the development of prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions under guidance
- Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design principles in all digital solutions
- Participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops to learn and share best practices
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between design and development processes
- Support the documentation of design processes and decisions for future reference
Requirements
- 0β3 years of experience in user-centric design, with some practical experience in researching and designing digital applications (internships, coursework, or recent graduates)
- Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar
- Basic understanding of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus
- Awareness of user interface design patterns and interaction design principles
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in a team environment, ideally in Agile or fast-paced settings (university projects or internships count)
- Knowledge of responsive design techniques and designing for various screen sizes and devices
- Interest in data-driven design methodologies, including A/B testing and analytics tools
- Willingness to learn about designing solutions across web, mobile, hardware, IoT, and emerging technologies
