Lead Product Designer

You will lead the design efforts for various products, collaborating with a team of designers and engineers. Your role includes transforming ideas into a product vision and building prototypes and initial releases.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate extensively with the leadership team, helping to transform early ideas and business opportunities into a cogent product vision and roadmap
- Build early prototypes and initial releases that will bring new products and features to life
- Oversee the evolution of our new web site, a web based design tool for HVAC systems, and various B2B web productivity tools for contractors and utilities
- Own product management, UX, and UI
- Work on the redesign of our mobile app for homeowners to scan their home, as well as a new mobile app for contractors
- Meet users where they work, whether in the office or in the field
Requirements
- Exceptional taste for design
- Comfortable working with sticky notes, whiteboard markers, Figma, and front-end code (HTML/CSS/JS)
- Detail oriented systems thinker
- Anchor work on user needs
- Eagerness to dive into residential electrification
- Eye for elegance - the confluence of beauty, effectiveness, and simplicity
- Proven track record of building elegant digital experiences
- Value functional beauty in the physical world
- Pragmatic team player and leader
- Eager to collaborate with leaders, designers and engineers across Zero, as well as customers in the field
- Experience with large scale consumer or B2B products (nice to have)
- Graphic design, illustration, and/or video production skills (nice to have)
- Relevant industry experience: residential construction, electrification, HVAC, CAD, Solar, or Energy (nice to have)
- Experience at an early-stage startup (nice to have)
