As a Senior Product Designer, you will lead the design of Newborns products, establishing design standards and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your role will involve understanding user needs, designing intuitive products, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Get to know the Newborns service, its users, and their needs.
- Design the User Experience, ensuring usability, feasibility, and viability.
- Input into the product vision, translating qualitative and quantitative insights into a product roadmap.
- Champion accessibility, designing experiences with a content designer.
- Apply NHS design systems and frameworks.
- Design to legal and regulatory requirements, working with healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the wider design community, building a shared component library.
- Facilitate decision making and co-creation, bringing together diverse perspectives.
Requirements
- Substantial experience as a Senior Product Designer with examples of live delivery.
- Experience working as part of a cross functional product squad.
- Demonstrable knowledge of product design processes and methodologies.
- Understanding of how to evaluate and interpret user research findings to wireframe and prototype solutions.
- Knowledge of the WCAG 2.2 accessibility guidelines and general practice.
- Proactive collaborator who embraces working with a diverse range of people.
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Desire to continually improve work through giving and receiving feedback.
- Advanced proficiency with design and prototyping tools including Figma and Miro.
- Experience using NHS design systems and applying regulatory best practice desirable.
