Hybrid Full-time Senior

The Senior Product Designer is responsible for designing internal-facing applications that enhance employee experiences and streamline business processes. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to understand user needs and deliver high-quality user interfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Design high quality experiences and user interfaces for internal users
  • Conduct user research with internal users and subject matter experts
  • Create prototypes and validate these via sessions with stakeholders (often remotely)
  • Work with difficult problems as well as complex constraints, requirements, and ideas
  • Design flows that are pragmatic, intuitive and remove or abstract away complexity
  • Deliver development-ready designs and work with different development squads to see designs through to implementation
  • Facilitate collaborative design, working closely with end users, subject matter experts, analysts, product leads and developers
  • Develop a strong understanding of the domain, business processes, and existing systems
  • Contribute to presentations and artefacts that communicate product vision and roadmap
  • Manage design lifecycle including tracking design versions and organising designs for consumption by a number of squads

Requirements

  • 3 or more years working in product, interface or interaction design
  • 2 or more years working in a software development team/software engineering environment
  • Experience designing internal-facing web applications and experiences
  • Experience conducting user interviews and design socialisation sessions remotely
  • Strong proficiency in Figma and other design tools
  • Strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to play or grow into a senior role within the product delivery team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and be well organised
  • Strong technical awareness
