The Product Designer and Developer will collaborate with the Art Director to conceptualize and design innovative home textile products. They will conduct research on market trends and ensure designs meet quality standards while supporting the production team during the transition from design to manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Art Director to understand market trends, customer preferences, and business goals.
- Conduct extensive research to identify emerging trends, technological advancements, materials, and design techniques relevant to the home textiles and accessories industry.
- Create concept sketches, 2D and 3D renderings, and prototypes to visualize and communicate design ideas effectively.
- Develop detailed product specifications, including materials, dimensions, and manufacturing processes, ensuring feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain a keen eye for detail and ensure that all designs meet the company's quality standards and brand guidelines.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure a smooth transition from design to manufacturing, providing necessary support and clarifications.
- Develop products and maintain relationships with suppliers for quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct product reviews, monitor sales performance, and stay informed on industry trends and technological advancements to optimize and expand product offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Product Designer in the home textiles and accessories industry or a related field.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of product design projects, including sketches, renderings, and prototypes.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, CAD software, and 3D modeling tools.
- Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and quality standards relevant to the home textiles and accessories industry.
- Previous experience working with Zara, Pottery Barn, West Elm, Crate & Barrel, CB2, or H&M Home.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and a creative mindset, with a focus on delivering innovative and user-centric design solutions.
