Remote Full-time Lead
Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT) seeks a Principal Product Designer to lead product design for increasing driver activation and retention in their telematics solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with your squad to define and prioritize design and research initiatives
- Apply a variety of design techniques to achieve measurable business outcomes
- Support rapid experimentation by creating both low- and high-fidelity prototypes
- Provide guidance to team members in understanding user needs
- Design high-fidelity prototypes and assets using design documentation, style guides, and component libraries
- Work cross-functionally with developers, product managers, UX researchers, marketers, analysts, and QA teams
- Contribute to broader product design initiatives and collaborate with the design team
- Clearly communicate design decisions to both team members and stakeholders
- Complete any additional tasks as they arise
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and/or certification in a relevant field
- 7+ years of product design experience, including substantial work on direct-to-consumer mobile products
- Deep expertise in native mobile app design for iOS and Android
- Proven experience working in an embedded, cross-functional team running growth-focused experiments
- A portfolio that showcases your mobile product design work
- Expert in using tools like Figma, Miro, and prototyping software
- Experience with a variety of user testing and research techniques
- Familiarity with Lean UX, growth hacking, and funnel optimization strategies
- Experience working in fast-paced, impact-driven team cultures
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
