Principal Product Designer, Growth

Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT) seeks a Principal Product Designer to lead product design for increasing driver activation and retention in their telematics solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with your squad to define and prioritize design and research initiatives
• Apply a variety of design techniques to achieve measurable business outcomes
• Support rapid experimentation by creating both low- and high-fidelity prototypes
• Provide guidance to team members in understanding user needs
• Design high-fidelity prototypes and assets using design documentation, style guides, and component libraries
• Work cross-functionally with developers, product managers, UX researchers, marketers, analysts, and QA teams
• Contribute to broader product design initiatives and collaborate with the design team
• Clearly communicate design decisions to both team members and stakeholders
• Complete any additional tasks as they arise

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and/or certification in a relevant field
• 7+ years of product design experience, including substantial work on direct-to-consumer mobile products
• Deep expertise in native mobile app design for iOS and Android
• Proven experience working in an embedded, cross-functional team running growth-focused experiments
• A portfolio that showcases your mobile product design work
• Expert in using tools like Figma, Miro, and prototyping software
• Experience with a variety of user testing and research techniques
• Familiarity with Lean UX, growth hacking, and funnel optimization strategies
• Experience working in fast-paced, impact-driven team cultures
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
