The Lead Product Designer will champion holistic product thinking and lead design initiatives across multiple modules. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams and guiding design prioritization to balance user needs and business goals.
Responsibilities
- Champion holistic product thinking and design decisions.
- Define and own the design system for visual and interaction consistency.
- Lead design initiatives from discovery to delivery.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Technical Business Analysts, and Tech Leads.
- Guide design prioritization to balance user needs, business goals, and delivery constraints.
- Coach and mentor Product Designers.
- Integrate UX writing and microcopy into the design process.
- Shape and drive research efforts to gather user insights.
- Translate user feedback into actionable design iterations and UX enhancements.
- Contribute to usability testing plans, metrics definition, and product instrumentation for UX KPIs.
- Act as the design voice in the shaping triangle (PM – UX – Tech Lead).
- Collaborate with AI/ML and Data teams to define human-AI interaction models.
- Own the scalability of design practices and documentation.
- Implement design reviews and rituals for feedback, alignment, and velocity.
- Ensure accessibility and inclusivity in design processes.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in product design, including enterprise SaaS.
- 3+ years of experience as a Lead UX.
- Proven experience leading design in complex, data-rich products.
- Strong UI craft and UX thinking from systems to microinteractions.
- Experience working with or building design systems.
- Excellent collaboration skills with product, engineering, and data teams.
- Familiarity with tools like Figma and prototyping environments.
- Experience with ESG, reporting, compliance, or data-intensive workflows (asset).
