UX/UI Designer

The Maffia and a player in the financial sector are looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to translate concepts into intuitive user flows and design high-fidelity mockups and prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Translate concepts into intuitive and high-quality user flows
• Design all flow paths and screen states with a focus on quality and goals
• Gather input from stakeholders on user needs and technical feasibility
• Seek inspiration from best-in-class examples, both inside and outside the financial sector
• Ensure intuitive information hierarchy at screen level
• Design high-fidelity mockups and prototypes
• Follow up on user feedback from usability tests
• Collaborate closely with UX copywriter for smooth content integration
• Actively contribute to a design system (mobile native & web Mobile First)
• Contribute to the UX/UI community of practice: share knowledge, best practices, co-create standards
• Lead the refinement phase of projects
• Support concept designers with visual input in early ideation phases
• Deliver prototypes and pixel-perfect screens and follow up with front-end developers

Requirements

• Experience: Senior
• Languages: EN!/FR/NL
• Mobile First mindset, experience with mobile native design
• Knowledge of Material Design and Human Interface Guidelines
• Agile knowledge & familiar with Scrum development cycle
• Accessibility mindset and knowledge of WCAG guidelines
• Proficient in design tools (Figma, Zeplin, …)
• Experience with design systems: using and improving components
• Understanding the technical impact of designs; front-end experience is a plus
• Skilled in documenting work & developing briefs for researchers and developers
• Fluent in French or Dutch (C1), good knowledge of the other language
• Good knowledge of English (B1/B2)
• Creative, structured, goal- & quality-oriented
• Team player and empathic listener
• Proactive, clear communicator with strong briefing skills
• Takes ownership of designs throughout the entire product lifecycle
