Lead design strategy and execution of large, complex projects that significantly impact customers and business. Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to understand customer needs and validate designs.
Responsibilities
- Lead design strategy and execution of large, complex, ambiguous projects
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering on strategy, planning, and execution
- Work directly with customers to understand their needs, validate designs, and inform the strategy
- Up-level the design team in skills, tools, and practice
- Work directly with executive stakeholders on large initiatives and drive decision making
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles
Requirements
- 8+ years of product design experience designing UX/UI for web & mobile applications
- Deep expertise in interaction and visual design at the Staff level
- Strong portfolio and/or case studies showcasing design craft and ability to solve user-problems with quantified impact
- Figma fluency and excellence in prototyping
- Leader in using AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Figma Make) to accelerate workflows, boost creativity, and prototype efficiently
- Track record of strategic influence and shipping impact
- Ability to engage effectively with customers for research and strategy
- Thrives in iterative, fast-paced environments
- Excellent proven experience working with cross-functional partners
