UI UX Designer

UI/UX Designer for Axalta, a coatings company, to design an intuitive interface for a next-generation color identification and mixing platform.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership, marketing, product management, engineering, and Color Science teams to deliver innovative solutions that define the product direction, visual design, and user experience
- Own the entire visual design process, from initial concept through to final implementation
- Transform complex workflows into simple, intuitive, and user-friendly experiences
- Develop wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to clearly communicate design concepts and interactions
- Conduct user research, build personas, and run usability tests to uncover insights and validate design decisions
- Define and maintain design guidelines, best practices, and standards to ensure consistency across the platform
- Stay ahead of emerging UI/UX trends, tools, and technologies to keep our product cutting-edge
Requirements
- BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of proven UI and UX experience, with a sensitivity to user-system interaction
- Solid understanding of user experience principles, responsive design, and mobile-first design strategies, with a strong portfolio
- Experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps
- Proficiency in Figma or other visual design and wire-framing tools
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
- Up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Strong understanding of user-centered design methodologies
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members
- A passion for creating engaging, functional, and visually appealing digital experiences
