UX/Product Designer (Design Systems) for a remote educational tech company, focusing on learner-facing visual design and design systems.
Responsibilities
- Work through design problems end-to-end, translating research insights and concepts into delightful user experiences, including workflows, visual design, and detailed interactions
- Drive design during ambiguous phases, mapping business and customer needs to define the vision for key initiatives
- Design experiences that are globally scalable, inclusive, and equitable for all users
- Utilize qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions
- Partner with product managers, engineers, data scientists, content strategists, and researchers to create products from definition to shipping
- Advocate for the user and influence design decisions across teams
- Focus on responsive web design, design systems, and visual design (animation, layering, interactions)
Requirements
- 4–8 years of experience as a UX/Product Designer
- 4-8 years of experience in system design
- Strong experience in responsive web design, and design systems
- Experience with visual design (animation) layering, interactions etc
- Must have a polished and clear portfolio on your resume, showcasing high-quality UX work
- Solid UX design skills: user flows, IA, wireframes, prototypes, and design systems
- Able to collaborate effectively with PMs, engineers, and designers
- Experience conducting user research to inform design and MVP development
- Experience to apply visual design skills while using a UI pattern library/design system
- Requires ability to learn quickly and hit the ground running
- Proficient with Figma and GSuite (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
- Experience designing accessible web-based experiences
