Join Joby as a Senior Product Designer to design tools for the Factory Systems team, impacting the certification of the world’s first eVTOL aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Lead design from research and discovery through wireframes, prototypes, and final specs
- Translate complex technical workflows into simple, elegant user experiences
- Balance big-picture systems design with pixel-level attention to detail
- Collaborate closely with PMs and engineers as a strategic partner in shaping products
- Conduct user research and usability testing with factory, engineering, and quality teams
- Create and maintain scalable design systems
- Explore opportunities to incorporate AI into both the design process and end-user solutions, defining best practices for responsible AI integration
- Rapidly prototype and test ideas to validate decisions early
Requirements
- Required BA/BS in Design, HCI, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio of complex systems or enterprise tools
- Strong skills in modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch)
- Ability to simplify complex workflows through thoughtful interaction design
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
Key Skills
- BA/BS in Design, HCI, or related field
- 5+ years of product design experience
