Frontend Engineer & UX/UI Designer, Data & Machine Learning, WWPS US Federal

Frontend Engineer and UX/UI designer to develop and deploy user interfaces for cloud-based applications, working with AWS customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy user interfaces with integrations to backend services
• Work alongside scientists and Application Developers to develop novel solutions for real-world problems
• Interface with customers to understand their vision, capture their pain points, and collect general requirements for their applications
• Work independently with the customer to iterate on the design and functions of user interfaces and provide deep and meaningful designs of experiences for all application users
• Support the development of the user interface including writing custom scripts to build interfaces and integrate with backend components
• Support testing of the application and presentations of the application to broader audiences
• Interact directly with customers to understand their business problems and help them define user experiences for their applications

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a user experience (UX) designer, product designer, interaction designer (UI), information architect, or similar role
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of using tools like Figma, Sketch, etc to design and create interactive mock-ups/wire frames of user interfaces
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
