Product Designer II - Database Monitoring

You will work with product managers, engineers, and design teams to understand customer needs and create effective workflows. Your role includes turning user research insights into design ideas and collaborating with other designers to enhance product quality.

Responsibilities

• Work with product managers, engineers, and design to understand how customers use Datadog and what they need to succeed
• See design work through from start to finish: turn insights from user research into ideas, sketch and prototype to bring them to life, and ship products and features that make Datadog better
• Be the expert in product area, collaborating and enabling designers on the team to do their best work
• Communicate design work and the support for design decisions across the company
• Work closely with engineering teams to understand and see through how designs will be built

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in digital product design, with familiarity or strong interest in platform/software delivery/observability/security industries
• Portfolio includes a proven track record of shipping interaction design work in web applications
• Solid sense of research and analytical skills, solving users' problems and needs
• Excellent visual and written communicator, able to clearly communicate design work and the support for design decisions
• Attentive to details, proficient in prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Principle, Framer)
• Understanding of systems thinking and component-based design patterns
• Ability to give and receive feedback well, supporting and improving the work of colleagues
