Product Designer, Sports Content Experience

Peacock Viewing Product Design is seeking a Product Designer to shape the future of their Content Experience, focusing on Sports, Gaming, and Playback.
Responsibilities
- Support the full design process, from research to implementation, by understanding user needs, creating prototypes, testing designs, and collaborating with engineers to bring features to life
- Partner with senior and principal designers to elevate the content experience, contribute to new features, improve usability, and ensure a seamless user journey
- Receive mentorship and feedback while working with the broader Viewing Design team, helping you refine your craft and grow as a product designer
- Partner with product managers to align on goals for playback, sports, continuous discovery, ad experiences, and gaming
- Help shape the future of sports and playback across all platforms
- Optimize across multiple platforms, including TV, web, and mobile β leaning into the capabilities of each
- Own the end-to-end design process: from concept and wireframes to prototypes and final assets, complete with detailed documentation
- Collaborate with our design systems team to apply and evolve Peacockβs design language
- Work alongside data and research teams to inform and validate design decisions through discovery and user testing
- Partner with remote engineering teams to ensure feasibility, maintain usability, and support accurate implementation
- Advocate for design priorities within the product roadmap across apps, mobile, web, and partner platforms
- Contribute to a strong, inclusive design culture at Peacock
Requirements
- Aesthetic sense: An ability to design with taste, and iterate with data
- Empathy: A drive to understand and speak for the user
- Vision: An ability to simplify complex problems
- Communication skills: An ability to build consensus but also respond to and give constructive, candid feedback
- Detail oriented: The patience and curiosity to discover and defend the right solution, and iterate
- Passion: An appreciation for design thinking/sprints and a love for creating usable, innovative products
- A strong portfolio reflecting your effective UX and UI decisions
- Experience with visual design, interaction design, and strategic product thinking
- 3 or more years of experience in product design, preferably in consumer-facing content experiences
- BA/BFA with a design focus
- Fluency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Principle
- Experience with user testing and the design validation process
- Experience designing for multiple platforms, especially TV experiences, mobile, and desktop
- Knowledge of additional platforms like Roku, Amazon Fire, Samsung, Xfinity X1, and voice-enabled devices a plus
- Experience designing for accessibility and international audiences also a plus
