Google seeks an Interaction Designer to lead UX definition and product idea for new GenAI viewer and creator experiences, focusing on user-centered design and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the UX definition and product idea for new GenAI viewer and creator experiences, working cross-functionally with Product Management and Engineering to align on a user-centered strategy.
- Shape and execute the design for product launches, producing deliverables such as wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to find product-market fit.
- Own the design process with little guidance, managing work across multiple projects.
- Drive product innovation through active ideation, concept development, and user testing.
- Build relationships with partners and contribute to a supportive UX culture that values critical feedback in the pursuit of excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
- Experience creating and launching new products from concept to launch.
- Experience in product strategy and consumer product design.
- Experience with prototyping and using GenAI tools and models.
- Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience working in a cross-functional organization.
- Experience with visual design.
- Ability to execute with velocity and a focus on driving user adoption.
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills to drive cross-functional alignment and executive buy-in.
