The Senior User Experience Designer will drive strategic design by understanding current user experiences and identifying opportunities for improvement. They will create effective user experiences through advanced UX principles while collaborating with stakeholders and contributing to evolving design systems.
Responsibilities
- Plans and facilitates workshops and design sprints to establish alignment, understand business objectives, develop concepts, and chart strategic paths forward
- Contributes to user research efforts including interviews, surveys, usability testing, A/B tests, and competitive evaluations
- Collaborates with Journey Owners and research teams to define target audiences and goals
- Maps user journeys, workflows, and service touchpoints to identify pain points and opportunities
- Applies insights to recommend UX improvements, validate decisions, and develop design concepts
- Creates wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to explore, communicate, and document solutions
- Tests and refines layouts, user interfaces, interaction patterns, and system components
- Develops clear documentation and specifications to enable seamless implementation
- Supports the evolution of design systems by evaluating and updating components
- Collaborates with product teams, development teams, and stakeholders to define requirements and co-create solutions
- Participates in planning sessions and design reviews to facilitate implementation of features and functionality
- Keeps stakeholders informed on goals, expectations, and timelines
- Leads meetings effectively and presents with polish
- Conducts post-launch design evaluations to assess effectiveness, identify usability issues, recommend refinements, and measure impact
- Accepts and incorporates feedback to improve performance and work quality
- Seeks out opportunities to advance design skills by staying informed on trends, tools, and best practices
- Actively explores and appropriately integrates AI tools into the design workflow
- Mentors less experienced team members to develop skills
Requirements
- Minimum three years of experience required in user experience (UX) design, product design, or related field
- Bachelorβs degree preferred
- Deep understanding of UX principles, usability, and product design
- Familiarity with customer journey mapping and service blueprinting
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Effective collaboration and conflict resolution abilities
- Excellent time management and project prioritization skills
- Experience with agile methodologies and product management practices
- Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Mural/Miro, and Microsoft Office
- Basic knowledge of front-end development concepts
- Strong storytelling and presentation capabilities
