This role involves the development and application of engineering practice and knowledge in the creation and assurance of products and solutions across engineering disciplines. It includes defining the fundamental concepts and properties of an engineered system or product and ensuring safety, reliability, and maintainability.
Responsibilities
- Define the fundamental concepts and properties of an engineered system or product
- Creatively determine a product's physical form, function and performance
- Assure safety, reliability, availability and maintainability
- Address the through life support and evolution of systems and products
- Provide and support documentation and information assets
- Assess whole lifecycle environmental impact against environmental regulations and policies
- Incorporate renewable energy sources and clean technologies into product and system design
