The UI/UX Designer will create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes while collaborating with stakeholders to define user flows. They will also improve existing products and features, ensuring design solutions align with product goals.
Responsibilities
- Design wireframes and prototypes: Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas and concepts
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with stakeholders to define and refine key user flows that solve user and business needs
- Prototyping and iteration: Build and refine low- and high-fidelity prototypes, incorporating feedback at every stage
- Improve existing flows: Support the redesigning and refining of existing products and features to optimize the user experience
- UI Design: Apply our brand identity to create clear, consistent, and visually appealing interfaces
- Design systems: Help develop component libraries, style guides, and design kits for consistency across platforms
- Data-informed design: Use feedback and data to enhance usability and continuously improve the user experience
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work with developers, testing, marketing and other stakeholders to ensure design solutions align with product goals
Requirements
- A degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred (but not mandatory)
- 2-5 years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably with exposure to fintech or related industries
- Knowledge of typography, color theory, layout, and accessibility best practices
- Ability to design with awareness of technical constraints and practical implementation challenges
- Portfolio showcasing the products or features you are most proud of
- Proficient in Figma and FigJam; Sketch, or similar
- Basic knowledge of micro-interactions
- Familiarity with usability testing, user interviews, surveys, or A/B testing
- Knowledge of research tools is considered a plus
- Basic knowledge of WCAG guidelines
- Creating user personas, empathy maps, and customer journey maps
- Interpreting analytics (e.g. Hotjar) and turning data into design insights is considered a plus
- Knowing the capabilities and limitations of web technologies
- Familiarity with Agile and SCRUM frameworks
