Sciolex Corporation, a defense contractor, is hiring a UX/UI Designer to design and develop user interfaces and experiences for web and mobile applications, focusing on government missions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) for web and mobile applications
- Create visually appealing graphics, icons, and other design elements
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups
- Ensure designs are consistent with branding guidelines and industry best practices
- Stay current with trends, technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design and graphic design
- Provide feedback and guidance to other team members
- Maintain and update design documentation
- Assist with other design-related tasks and special projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, User Experience Design, Computer Science, or a related field
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Counter-Intelligence Polygraph
- Experience as a UX/UI designer or graphic designer, preferably in a technical or defense-related environment
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Key Skills
- Experience with user research and usability testing methodologies
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines
- Experience in designing for government or defense-related projects
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
