The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for designing intuitive and visually impactful interfaces that enhance storytelling and viewer experience in live productions. This includes conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and collaborating with various teams to ensure design feasibility.

Responsibilities

  • User Research & Analysis: Understand the needs of producers, operators, and technical teams in live broadcast contexts. Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to validate design solutions.
  • UX Design: Map user journeys and translate them into wireframes, prototypes, and design flows. Define interaction models adapted to fast-paced broadcast workflows (control rooms, newsroom tools, graphics systems).
  • UI Design: Create clean, consistent, and impactful interfaces aligned with the brand and broadcast identity. Design on-air graphics interfaces, control panels, and dashboards optimized for clarity and speed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, motion designers, and broadcast engineers to ensure feasibility and performance. Partner with editorial and production teams to align user experience with storytelling objectives.
  • Iteration & Delivery: Iterate quickly based on feedback from live tests and end users. Deliver detailed design specifications and support implementation through QA.

Requirements

  • Degree in Design, HCI, Multimedia, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in UI/UX design, ideally within broadcast, media, or live event environments.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent.
  • Experience with interactive prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, InVision, Axure).
  • Familiarity with newsroom systems, graphics engines (Vizrt, Ross XPression, Chyron, etc.), or live production workflows is a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication, ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, problem-solving mindset.
  • English fluent, French is an asset.

Key Skills

  • Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent.
  • Experience with interactive prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, InVision, Axure).
  • Familiarity with newsroom systems, graphics engines (Vizrt, Ross XPression, Chyron, etc.), or live production workflows.
  • Excellent communication, ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, problem-solving mindset.
