Speedbrick is looking for an experienced UX Designer & Developer to create compelling and intuitive designs that improve user experience for their customers, working collaboratively with the product and development team.
Responsibilities
- Work with the product team to understand our users and build high value features for them
- Analyse, document and review our technical designs before writing code
- Share knowledge to avoid solving the same problems multiple times
- Align on technical conventions that help us move in sync as a team
- We are obsessed with improving the quality of our communication and design
- Build high quality software solutions as a collection of robust, well tested and reusable modules
Requirements
- Must have worked in application companies before (not short term apps/website building)
- Worked on long term applications before, not just short term projects (long term means the product is in the market for over 3 years)
- Exquisite taste for simplicity
- Like using Apple products
- OCD with the quality of your work
- Cannot tolerate ugly stuff
- Smart maybe weird
- Understand trade-offs on technical constraints
- Understand users' jobs vs user stories
- Understand responsive design
- Able to clearly explain why and how your design are solving the issues
- Able to balance user needs with business requirements
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, receiving and incorporating feedback effectively
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma or similar applications
- Frontend development experience (e.g., HTML/CSS)
