Work in partnership with Product and Engineering leads to frame user problems and deliver solutions. Mentor other designers and facilitate stakeholder collaboration to mature design processes.

Responsibilities

  • Broad user experience design skillset
  • Deep expertise in at least two practice areas (e.g. UI Design, Information Architecture, User Research, Interaction Design, Front-end Development)
  • Great product sense and demonstrated leadership in UX strategy
  • Favor customer impact over perfect solutions
  • Focus on customer needs and goals, scenarios, tasks flows
  • Can prototype and solution at any fidelity, favoring collaboration over extensive documentation
  • Comfortable working through product and team transformations
  • Not comfortable waiting for someone to hand you requirements
  • Willing and able to engage in technical details
  • Work in partnership with Product and Engineering leads to frame user problems, business opportunities, and deliver solutions
  • Deeply understand our users, customers, products and business
  • Mentor other designers on how to design for exceptional user experiences
  • Facilitate stakeholder collaboration and feedback
  • Mature our design language and design processes
  • Develop hypotheses, do the legwork of evaluation and experimentation, iterate on solutions

Requirements

  • 7+ years designing software
  • Educational background in design, human-computer interaction, computer science, psychology or related field
  • Portfolio showcasing product design problem solving, where multiple solutions were considered and tested
  • Experience working on end-to-end user experiences, with clear design principles
  • Excellent written communication and design fundamentals
  • Experience with both qualitative and quantitative User Research
  • Experience with a broad range of tools, including, but not limited to: Figma, HTML/CSS, React, LLMs, UserTesting
  • High visual UI craft, Design Systems expertise, and/or Financial Services experience (strongly preferred)
