The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating visual concepts to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers. They will develop the overall layout and production design for advertisements, brochures, magazines, and corporate reports.
Responsibilities
- Brainstorm creative direction alongside the Marketing and Merchandise teams for seasonal packaging and print campaigns.
- Create original and cohesive illustrative collections for use on Purdys packaging.
- Translate strategic direction into high-quality designs that align with the Purdys brand.
- Develop concepts and execute original content determining ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout whilst maintaining design standards throughout all collateral.
- Manage the design and uploading process of all project material.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to keep a consistent branded point of view across all channels.
- Research current design and graphics trends in design and marketing.
- Promptly respond to shifting priorities and feedback.
- Update and maintain design files and assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, Diploma or Certificate in digital design, graphic design or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years designing packaging and print.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a retail, design studio, or agency environment (Creative Agency, Retail experience a plus).
- High degree of proficiency in Adobe creative suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), MS Office Suite & Outlook.
- Previous experience in food/ beverage packaging with an understanding of print production and experience setting up files with specialty finishes is an asset.
