The UX Researcher will work closely with product, design, and engineering partners to identify needs and develop research roadmaps. They will plan and execute a variety of research activities to generate insights that help improve business purchasing experiences.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with product, design, and engineering partners to identify needs, prioritize high-impact research opportunities and develop research roadmaps
- Plan and execute research a wide variety of research activities with customers and prospects, using mixed methods
- Generate ideas on new or more efficient ways to answer questions that we have about customers
- Collaborate with other stakeholders (designers, product team, marketing, legal...) to solve problems with data (generate insights from business analytics and customer feedback)
- Work across all of Amazon to drive better research practices and bring attention to business customers
- Visibilize the value of human-centered research in the organization
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Anthropology, Human Factors, Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, Design or related fields
- Substantial experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods (5+ yrs)
- Strong portfolio of past work experience and deliverables demonstrating impact across charters in large organizations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (technical, business and executive audiences)
- Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver against role responsibilities, working with minimal guidance and direction in a fast-pace environment
