As a product designer at Meta, you'll lead design projects, create user-friendly interfaces, and contribute to strategic decisions for Facebook and other Meta products.
Responsibilities
- Leads and delivers design projects of large and/or ambiguous scope
- Takes broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our 2 billion+ users
- Designs flows and experiences that simplify and distill down complex actions into usable interfaces
- Designs new experiences or layouts that evolve and define visual systems
- Contributes to strategic decisions around the future direction of FB products
- Gives and solicit feedback from designers and a broader product team in order to continually raise our bar for quality, while also taking on mentorship
- Leads a partnership with product managers, engineers, researchers and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience designing complex software products with a focus on user experience, interaction, and visual design
- Experience conducting complex research studies and driving business growth through design-led innovation
- Experience leading end-to-end development efforts and making high-impact decisions balancing user needs with business growth objectives
- Expertise in advanced prototyping techniques
Key Skills
- Proven track record of leading the design of complex products for virtual, augmented, mixed reality, and other emerging technologies
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with and influencing cross-functional stakeholders such as User Research, Engineering, and Product Management
- Advanced skills in prototyping 3D interactions or interfaces using Unity and other industry-leading tools
- Expertise in designing and implementing novel user inputs such as hand or eye tracking
- Experience driving the design of products for developers and/or creators, with a focus on scalability and platformization
