As a Staff UX Designer, you will design exceptional user experiences for cloud-based solutions. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Design Teams to create intuitive, user-centered designs.

Responsibilities

  • Create user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, user needs, and technological capabilities/constraints
  • Design wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes that effectively communicate design concepts
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and validate designs to ensure they meet user needs
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define and implement innovative solutions
  • Maintain design systems and ensure consistent user experience across all Caseware products
  • Stay current with UX design trends, tools, and emerging technologies in the accounting and audit software industry
  • Create and maintain detailed design documentation including user flows, interaction models, and design specifications
  • Help resolve customer-impacting design issues, ensuring the quickest and safest resolutions
  • Contribute to the overall design strategy and vision for Caseware's products
  • Assist in cross-department design initiatives that enhance the overall product ecosystem
  • Participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback to fellow designers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 8 or more years of experience in user experience or related fields
  • Strong interaction and visual design skills, with a portfolio that highlights design thinking and ability to create engaging user experiences, especially in AI
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills
  • Proficiency with design, prototyping, and AI tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma Make, Loveable, Cursor, Replit, ChatGPT, or similar
  • Solid understanding of design systems and component-based design
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and designing for diverse user needs
  • Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-platform user experiences
