Product Designer, Cross-Product Foundations

Figma is looking for a Product Designer to lead the development of cross-product design patterns within their evolving ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration and a consistent user experience.

Responsibilities

• Shape and influence the overall strategy for cross-product design, guiding the evolution of how Figma’s products interact and enhance each other.
• Tackle advanced design challenges that involve multiple, interconnected products, ensuring a cohesive and scalable user experience.
• Define and communicate a compelling vision for cross-product design patterns, aligning with Figma’s broader design principles.
• Partner closely with product management, engineering, design, and research to develop and implement design systems that work harmoniously across different products.
• Design, prototype, and iterate on intricate workflows and high-fidelity visuals, delivering solutions that meet the complex needs of our diverse user base.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in UX and UI design for software products, with a focus on multi-product ecosystems.
• Proven expertise in leading the design of integrated experiences across multiple, complex products, from concept through execution.
• Advanced problem-solving skills, particularly in designing intuitive and scalable solutions for challenging, cross-functional design problems.
• Extensive experience managing large-scale design projects that require coordination across multiple teams and organizational lines.
• Mastery of communicating sophisticated design through prototypes and concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Skills

• Experience in developing and refining large-scale design systems that span multiple products and platforms
• A strong aesthetic sense, with a proven ability to craft visually compelling and highly functional user interfaces
• Mentorship experience, with a passion for guiding and developing the skills of other designers
