Senior Graphic Designer

The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for leading the creation of graphics, collateral, and digital assets, with a focus on high-level animation work. This role involves managing project demands, ensuring quality and consistency with the Sanford brand, and collaborating with the design and marketing teams.
Responsibilities
- Develops and monitors appropriate indicators for quality and continuous improvement that will promote consistency and a level of quality consistent with the Sanford brand.
- Delegates effectively and appropriately, prioritizes and negotiates project demands and seeks alternative outcomes.
- Displays a high level of design and production expertise.
- Demonstrates the ability to complete complex, large- and small-scale projects within assigned budgets and timeline parameters.
- Displays professional and technical expertise and the ability to develop creative solutions for a wide range of needs.
- Excels in effective and positive communication.
- Possesses a thorough understanding of the concepts and principles related to printing, graphics and marketing.
- Produces various collateral, including advertisements, newsletters, brochures, forms, posters and other related projects for Sanford.
- Possesses strong graphic design knowledge and demonstrates creativity in the application of design principles and techniques.
- Exhibits outstanding skills in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Displays thorough understanding and knowledge of the Sanford brand and appropriate application and utilization of the brand.
- Communicates effectively to a variety of clients.
- Exhibits the ability to organize and achieve quality work.
- Collaborates within the design team and greater marketing team to conceptualize and produce appropriate solutions for a target audience.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills in order to prioritize multiple requests.
- Possesses flexibility and understanding of time management, practicing it efficiently on a daily basis.

Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree required, preferably from an accredited institution in graphic design, commercial art, industrial illustration, fine arts or a related field.
- Minimum of three yearsβ of graphic design experience required, preferably in an agency or corporate setting preferred.
- Possess computer skills and proficiency in all aspects of computer-based graphic design including the ability to effectively and creatively utilize programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, QuarkXPress and Illustrator as well as remaining up-to-date on changes to similar programs in the graphic design industry.
- Experience in digital photography and output, scanning, archiving, HTML/web site design, layout, printing production, phone manipulation, color, typestyles, composition and illustration required.
Key Skills
- Intermediate to advanced Adobe After Effects skills.
- Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, QuarkXPress, and Illustrator.
- Experience in digital photography and output, scanning, archiving, HTML/web site design, layout, printing production, phone manipulation, color, typestyles, composition, and illustration.
