Product Designer, CO-OP

Assist in designing user-friendly interfaces for financial products and support user research activities. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and senior designers to understand design requirements and contribute ideas.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing user-friendly interfaces for financial products, ensuring consistency with State Street’s design standards.
• Support user research activities such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather insights from financial professionals.
• Help create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and senior designers to understand design requirements and contribute ideas.
• Contribute to the maintenance and expansion of the design system, including component libraries in Figma.
• Apply basic principles of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy to organize complex financial data.
• Learn and apply accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG) to ensure inclusive design practices.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum workflows and attend design reviews and sprint planning sessions.
• Explore emerging technologies like AI and their potential impact on financial UX/UI design.
• Present design concepts and research findings to team members, incorporating feedback to improve solutions.

Requirements

• Final-year undergraduate or graduate students pursuing degrees in front end engineering or related technical disciplines who are interested in converting to a full-time role post-graduation.
