Assist in designing user-friendly interfaces for financial products and support user research activities. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and senior designers to understand design requirements and contribute ideas.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing user-friendly interfaces for financial products, ensuring consistency with State Street's design standards
- Support user research activities such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather insights from financial professionals
- Help create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and senior designers to understand design requirements and contribute ideas
- Contribute to the maintenance and expansion of the design system, including component libraries in Figma
- Apply basic principles of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy to organize complex financial data
- Learn and apply accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG) to ensure inclusive design practices
- Participate in Agile/Scrum workflows and attend design reviews and sprint planning sessions
- Explore emerging technologies like AI and their potential impact on financial UX/UI design
- Present design concepts and research findings to team members, incorporating feedback to improve solutions
Requirements
- Final-year undergraduate or graduate students pursuing degrees in front end engineering or related technical disciplines
- Enthusiastic about building a long-term career in a dynamic, technology-driven organization
- Effective communicators with the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment
