Graphic Designer and Brand Specialist - 6-Month Contract

Onsite $24,000 - $25,000 Full-time Mid-level

The Graphic Designer and Brand Specialist will support Goodwill’s marketing strategy through various channels and mediums. Responsibilities include creating promotional materials, collaborating on marketing campaigns, and maintaining brand standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day creation and maintenance of promotional materials for marketing campaigns, including design, production and distribution
  • Collaborate with mission platforms to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns to realize each team’s goals
  • Understand basic budgeting and show the ability to work within financial parameters of projects
  • Maintain, update and improve Goodwill’s brand standards, including signage, key messaging, tag lines, trade and logo marks, etc
  • Work with outside vendors and suppliers to complete marketing projects, with the availability to travel to and work on-site with vendors when needed
  • Occasional travel to Goodwill Community Stores/ADCs and other locations to conduct branding audits, gather measurements for future installations, and meet with team members to assess project needs and ensure alignment with branding goals
  • Supporting the development of internal and external marketing and communications engagement initiatives, including newsletters, email marketing campaigns, yearly Impact Reports, and more
  • Follow all safety standards set out in legislation and/or Goodwill policies
  • Be actively involved in the health, well-being and safety of themselves and their team

Requirements

  • Advanced level skill in graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tactics
  • Skilled at developing and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to consult with individuals and teams, translate multiple needs and thoughts into goals and priorities
  • Ability to creatively design, develop, and manage multiple projects from conception through completion
  • Strong passion for creative design and digital marketing
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Self-motivated; able to take initiative regarding marketing strategies and plans
  • Knowledge of design standards and principles
  • Highly detail-oriented and professional
  • Technology savvy; able to learn and become proficient at new and emerging technology
  • Understanding of accessible design principles
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Marketing or Graphic Design (or relevant job experience)
  • 3 to 5 years' related experience (design portfolio preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience setting marketing metrics, tracking progress, and fulfilling desired outcomes
  • Established relationships and acumen regarding vendors/suppliers
  • Experience managing multiple social media platforms
  • A valid Ontario driver’s license, personal vehicle and insurance
