Senior Graphic Designer (Performance Equipment)

A Senior Graphic Designer is needed to join the team with a focus on baseball promo products in Beaverton, OR or Torrance, CA, owning color and graphic execution across various sports.

Responsibilities

• Own part of Promo/Sports Marketing Design with category teammates by executing Design briefs/requests on calendar
• Design inline Performance soft goods such as gloves and accessories for the performance baseball/football/golf categories
• Collaborate with Design Lead to develop seasonal creative strategies for graphics that align with brand direction
• Create original, on-brand graphics across all product categories needed, with a focus on Performance Sports (Football/Baseball/Basketball/Golf)
• Design inline products that balance in the performance space that include soft goods innovation, function, and aesthetic appeal
• Translate trend research, consumer insights, and brand DNA into compelling product designs and visual narratives
• Work closely with Design Lead to design, prepare detailed tech packs, specifications, and presentation materials for Performance Sports
• Contribute to color, material, and finish (CMF) direction and product storytelling
• Participate in design reviews and present work to internal stakeholders with clarity and confidence
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers and contractors as needed
• Work with Design Lead and gather/interpret insights from athletes and trend/market research
• Collaborate with Promo team for in-depth meetings and training on any cross-functional category initiatives that are essential to the Promo categories
• Partner and maintain regular communication with cross-functional triad members in Design, Development and Product Line Management (PLM) groups to ensure design commerciality and strict adherence to targeted price points and product creation timelines
• Create and coordinate graphic implementation at each stage of the product process (internal and external) with Design Lead: Concept design review, prototype/sample review, line finalization, approval process
• Attend inline Center of Excellence (COE) and Promo Meetings for assigned categories to understand the inline product that will come into Promo (Football/Baseball/Golf/Basketball)
• Attend weekly PLM Tracker meetings for Football/Baseball/Golf/Basketball and any other categories that may come into the Promo line
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 7+ years related Product Design/Industrial Design in the sports industry or similar
• Degree (BFA/BA/BS) in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or related design education preferred
• Demonstrate an advanced understanding of design and project storytelling
• Strong sketching/rendering skills in a mix of mediums including rapid Ideation, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Sketchbook
• Expert working knowledge of Adobe CS and Microsoft Office programs
• Extensive knowledge of technical materials, construction methods and manufacturing processes for both hard goods and soft goods
• Ability to function independently or with other team members in a group setting
• Serve as a positive force for the betterment of all team members
• Knowledge of SolidWorks, Rhino, Maya 3D, Fusion 360 a plus
• Capable of operating in a fast paced, dynamic, and evolving environment
• Meticulous, self-driven and highly strong interpersonal skills with the ability to use tact and diplomacy communicating with all teammates
• Ability to work effectively in a team
