Lead user research initiatives and design intuitive user experiences. Collaborate with product managers and engineers to implement user-centered solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive user research initiatives including qualitative and quantitative studies, usability testing, A/B testing, and stakeholder interviews to deeply understand user needs and behaviours
- Design and prototype intuitive user experiences through wireframes, mockups, and interactive flows that balance user needs with business objectives and technical constraints
- Conduct iterative user testing sessions, translating insights into actionable design improvements that simplify complex systems and enhance usability
- Create clear workflow maps and user journey documentation that facilitate productive discussions during product conceptualisation and development
- Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers throughout the design process, from initial concepts through final implementation
- Develop deep empathy for users through direct engagement and research, advocating for user-centred solutions in all design decisions
Requirements
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in interaction and visual design for digital products
- Strong portfolio showcasing user-centred design process and outcomes across various project types
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with ability to create high-fidelity prototypes and design systems
- Proven track record of conducting user research and translating insights into design decisions
- Data-informed design mentality that balances quantitative metrics with qualitative user feedback
- Experience designing responsive interfaces that work seamlessly across devices and platforms
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present design rationale to diverse stakeholders
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in a team environment
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with willingness to tackle complex problems
- Experience working within Agile development environments
- Keen interest in generative AI and the online trust and safety space would be an added bonus
