Senior Product Designer, Core Tools

Drive end-to-end product design, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers. Shape the next-generation writing editor and ensure a seamless user experience across QuillBot's suite of tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end product design from initial user research to final delivery.
• Design QuillBot's next-generation writing editor, shaping core capabilities, look, feel, and user interaction.
• Ensure seamless integration of the editor with QuillBot's suite of tools.
• Contribute to and evolve the design language system.
• Advocate for user experience by deeply understanding user needs and behaviors.
• Craft experiences with originality, joy, and elegance in complex interactions.
• Nurture a culture of design excellence through critiques, mentoring, and team rituals.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing consumer-facing digital products, ideally with complex user flows or productivity tools.
• Portfolio showcasing systems thinking, polished visual design, and user-centered processes.
• Understanding and use of design systems for scalability.
• Self-directed, thrives in ambiguity, and moves quickly without sacrificing quality.
• Strong interaction and visual design skills, with a high attention to craft.
• Experience prototyping in tools like Figma, Claude, code, or motion.
• Good writing skills, understanding how language shapes experience.
• Experience designing for AI-powered tools or willingness to learn.
