The graphic designer will develop and implement corporate visual branding and set graphic design standards. They will create communication materials for print and online media, including campaigns and branding projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, create and define refreshed strategic brand guidelines and templates to better engage mass media/supporter audiences.
  • Support the senior graphic designer to refresh the corporate brand templates, strategically engaging with key internal stakeholders to ensure buy in across the organization.
  • Develop bespoke look and feel for PPF, and WFP social media channels.
  • Deliver creative and innovative ideas for print, electronic, web-based and animated presentations in line with corporate branding guidelines.
  • Working collaboratively across Creative Studio/CAM and the organization to deliver design solutions for communications problems.
  • Design, prepare layout or edit existing artwork for a variety of communication materials including infographics, publications, communication templates, banners, posters, flyers, charts and reports.
  • Create and propose merchandise products; apply design and branding to proposed products taking into account customer preferences and sale potential. Give guidance in the procurement phase and provide design support in all phases of acquisition and display of products.
  • Create and propose design for organizational events following through the design phase by liaising with production and installation staff.
  • Create and propose design for displays in promotional areas, applying branding elements; follow through the design phase by liaising with production and installation.
  • Follow through the design process for print collateral, displays and signage, liaising with external print shops for final production.
  • Create infographics and digital media products (traditional web, social media and mobile graphics).
  • Create, update and format content on WFP Go using the CMS and GoDocs.
  • Develop and maintain branded MS Publisher, Word, PPT templates.
  • Maintain and strengthen WFP branding ensuring creative consistency.
  • Review print requests for the IFAD print shop ensuring use of correct brand elements and correctly outputted PDF files.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Senior Graphic Designer or Head of Creative Studio.

Requirements

  • University degree in graphic design, media and communication, fine arts, or other related field.
  • An exceptional design portfolio that demonstrates an excellent understanding of design principles, information design, typography, social media, and integrated campaigns.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience working as a graphic designer.
  • Proven experience of graphic production from start to published product including knowledge of printing process and online publishing.
  • Experience at developing high quality graphics for displays and events.
  • Experience at developing design for merchandise products including product sourcing and application of branding in an effective way.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Professional).
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Word and Publisher.
  • Good understanding of new and evolving technologies and digital platforms.
  • Demonstrated clear and mature design style.
  • Excellent knowledge of English is required.

Key Skills
