Specialist, Graphic Designer

The Specialist, Graphic Designer develops and designs complex multimedia visual communications, including conference materials and web page designs. This role involves creating visual concepts that meet customer needs and preparing designs for various media formats.
Responsibilities
- Selecting fonts and establishing title hierarchies
- Adhering to style manuals or corporate branding standards
- Creating layouts, illustrations, and photo edits
- Strategically using graphic elements to enhance communication
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and represent Ricoh professionally
- Strong organizational, customer service, and follow-up skills
- Develop new artistic concepts into visual media
- Design using InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver (Mac & PC)
- Provide graphic consultation and support
- Deliver strong customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Produce print, packaging, advertising, point-of-purchase, and digital graphics
- Meet customer quality and design requirements
- Design and format multipage documents using style sheets and mapping
- Stay current with industry trends, ideas, and technologies
- Innovate within design briefs to meet cost, time, and client constraints
- Comply with legal requirements for duplication, printing, software, and fonts
- Adhere to production schedules and deadlines
- Consult with clients to identify graphic needs, budget, and timelines
- Liaise with printers/publishers and review proofs
- Manage digital asset libraries and technologies
- May lead and coordinate other designers
- Create and conceptualize brand identities using logos, layouts, and color palettes
- Perform other assigned tasks
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Design preferred, or equivalent coursework/certifications
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Intermediate to advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills
- Proven design and layout capabilities
- Print production experience preferred
- Project management experience preferred
- Strong graphic design and layout skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- Team-oriented with positive, productive relationships
- Adaptability and flexibility in changing environments
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality
- High attention to detail
- Creativity and flexibility
- Deadline-driven mindset
