The Graphic Designer and Communications Project Manager will design and produce visual promotional materials for the museum's activities and programs while managing multiple projects simultaneously. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure consistent branding and effective communication across print and digital media.

Responsibilities

  • Design and produce visual promotional materials for all Museum activities and programs
  • Work collaboratively with museum directors and managers on creative direction and campaign concepts
  • Ensure excellent project management to coordinate up to 10+ projects simultaneously
  • Communicate deadlines and report production status/challenges to appropriate departments
  • Assist coordinating with vendors and managing the production and distribution process
  • Ensure communications are consistent with the Museum’s brand and graphic standards
  • Manage graphic design and photo library
  • Write and distribute email marketing communications
  • Assist on web-based projects

Requirements

  • BA in Graphic Design or related area, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Three to five years of relevant work experience creating graphic and design solutions across all print and digital media
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working in Wordpress, Canva, Constant Contact, or similar email platform, and Flikr preferred
  • Quality portfolio demonstrating experience in digital media design, photo editing, and illustration
  • Nonprofit experience strongly desired
  • Ability to track numerous projects simultaneously
  • Professional approach to time, budget, and deadlines
  • Adaptable, flexible, and can work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving & decision-making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work solo and as part of a project team
