The UI/UX Designer will design and optimize user interfaces for complex web applications, ensuring they are intuitive and data-driven. This role involves collaborating with small teams to tackle challenges in integrating space and ground communications systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement intuitive, elegant, and data-driven user interfaces for complex web applications
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and iterative design based on user feedback
- Translate product requirements and workflows into wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes
- Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation
- Create and maintain design systems and UI component libraries for scalable application design
- Work in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams
- Use the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- 8+ years of professional experience designing intuitive, elegant, and data-driven user interfaces for complex web applications
- Proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma, Framer, Cursor, or similar
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, usability heuristics, and accessibility standards
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and iterative design based on user feedback
- Proven ability to translate product requirements and workflows into wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes
- Collaborative experience working alongside frontend developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation
- Strong understanding of frontend technologies to inform design feasibility and constraints
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining design systems and UI component libraries for scalable application design
- Experience with tools for design versioning, feedback, and handoff
