Mixed Methods UX Researcher, Search

User Experience Researcher at Google, conducting UX research to inform product design and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Work with a collaborative and user-centric team to gather insights, data, and storytelling
• Partner with UXRs to conduct foundational and iterative research
• Own qualitative and quantitative UXR roadmap for project areas with horizontal and vertical impact
• Work with stakeholders to formulate research questions and impact product strategy and design through research/analyses
• Create scalable frameworks to better understand users and their needs, stated and unstated, for your product team by visualizing user data
• Develop insights to help create useful, usable, and delightful new products and features for Googlers and continually innovate on existing products

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 6 years of experience in an applied research setting (e.g., product or academic), or similar
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods, including usability testing, log analysis, and surveys
• Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or related field
• 5 years of experience conducting UX research on products and working with executive leadership (e.g., Director level and above)
• 3 years of experience managing projects, and working in a cross-functional organization
• Experience in a variety of product spaces, applied research, or academic settings
• Proficiency in communicating user research findings with cross-functional partners to drive impact
