Senior UI Designer (12-month FTC)

Contribute to Depopโ€™s Design System by creating and maintaining UI components and patterns. Collaborate with product teams to ensure consistent and impactful user experiences across platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to Depop's Design System: Create and maintain UI components, patterns, and documentation that support product teams across web and iOS and Android.
  • Craft high-quality UI: Deliver pixel-perfect visuals that balance usability, accessibility, and brand expression.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with product designers, engineers, and product managers to ensure components are consistent, functional, and easy to implement.
  • Support scalability: Identify opportunities to streamline and standardise UI, ensuring our design system supports future growth.
  • Champion consistency: Advocate for cohesive, system-led design across Depop's surfaces.
  • Craft high-quality UI elements, animations, transitions, and microinteractions to enhance user engagement and delight.
  • Create designs that are optimised for different platforms, including iOS, Android, and responsive web, ensuring consistency across all touch points.
  • Comfortable presenting to larger audiences and senior stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a UI Designer, Visual Designer, or similar role working with digital products.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating UI craft, attention to detail, and system-thinking.
  • Experience working with or contributing to a design system.
  • Proficiency in Figma (variants, components, libraries).
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product designers and engineers.

Key Skills

  • Familiarity with tokens and design-to-code workflows.
  • Previous marketplace or e-commerce/fashion product experience.
  • Good understanding of motion principles.
