Staff UX Designer (Full Time + Benefits)

A Staff UX Designer to help develop a deep understanding of users, inform product strategy, and deliver exceptional experiences across critical product surfaces at GoodLeap.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the design direction and vision for key product surfaces, setting the vision for the near, medium, and long term to ensure a cohesive and impactful user experience across all touchpoints
• Work closely with product, design, and engineering leadership to help shape and execute the vision for GoodLeap's product portfolio, ensuring we’re delivering high-impact solutions
• Deepen our understanding of customers and end-users by leading research and analyzing data, helping to inform decisions that improve the products we build
• Foster growth within the design team, supporting individual development and encouraging a collaborative environment where creative thinking thrives
• Champion design across the organization, advocating for user-centered thinking and ensuring that design is always at the forefront of product decisions, from strategy to execution

Requirements

• Extensive experience in UX design, with a proven track record of delivering value to both end-users and businesses in fast-paced, iterative environments
• Fluency in design processes, methods, and tools, with the ability to adapt and apply the right approach for each unique project
• Experience defining metrics and leveraging insights—both qualitative and quantitative—to guide design decisions and drive product direction
• Strong aesthetic sensibility, with a keen eye for creating visually engaging and user-friendly designs
• Bias toward experimentation, with the ability to communicate and test ideas effectively through interactive mocks or rough functional prototypes; enjoys mentoring others in this approach to design
• Practical understanding of user research methodologies, with experience seamlessly integrating user insights into the design process to create more meaningful user experiences
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts, requirements, and constraints into a compelling vision that inspires and influences senior leadership
