UI/UX Designer -- Entry Level

CGI seeks an Entry-Level UX/UI Designer to enhance products and services through design, helping guide user experiences that delight and inform, with a hybrid working model in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions (e.g., map user journeys, run surveys/interviews).
• Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, user flows, storyboards, and sitemaps to visualize concepts.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers to iterate on ideas and refine delivery.
• Help maintain design workflows, UI guidelines, or style consistency across digital touchpoints.
• Contribute to accessibility and usability improvements, ensuring products meet high standards of user-centered design.
• Present and communicate your work to internal stakeholders—i.e., your journey, rationale, and impact.
• Learn from design leaders and gradually take on increasingly independent design tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated passion for user-centered design, strengths in empathy, curiosity, and visual storytelling.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong collaboration, communication (written & verbal), adaptability, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Portfolio with academic, personal, or internship projects showcasing wireframes, prototypes, and/or UI solutions.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely and without restriction.
