Staff Product Designer, Golf

Lead high-level product portfolio initiatives through hands-on design, contributing significantly to product strategy and vision. Advocate for the user while building strong, trusting relationships with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-level product portfolio initiatives through hands-on design, contributing significantly to product strategy and vision
• Understand business objectives to solve highly abstract problems, applying strategic thinking
• Break big problems into smaller experiments to validate assumptions, driving progress
• Proactively explore and integrate AI and emerging technologies to shape new approaches
• Work with product teams to develop and use design strategies based on data
• Ensure designs meet user needs and support business goals
• Help create user scenarios and assist in journey mapping and mental model exercises
• Independently drive in-squad UX research to generate actionable insights and influence the product roadmap through data-driven recommendations
• Advocate for the user while building strong, trusting relationships with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, marketing)
• Demonstrate masterful understanding of design system principles and the current state of design within the industry
• Define and evolve systems, including typography, colour, depth, iconography, illustration, and layout, that works within brand and technical constraints
• Understand and implement new design systems, ensuring consistency and efficiency across platforms, and contribute to the systems continual improvement
• Provide mentorship to product designers and actively influence broader design strategies
• Lead end-to-end work with minimal supervision
• Manage own backlog independently
• Collaborate with designers across product teams to elevate consistency and quality while refining team processes
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills to help you collaborate with global stakeholders

Requirements

• 8+ years of design experience from product-driven tech companies, demonstrating measurable impact
• Hands-on experience designing for mobile and touch-based interfaces
• Proven ability to set and manage design priorities, guided by product and business needs
• Expert knowledge of design systems implementation with demonstrated results improving user experiences
• Strong aesthetic judgment informed by deep understanding of visual design principles and industry trends
• Successful track record consulting with engineering teams to develop effective, feasible technical solutions
• Experience using prototyping and research methodologies to validate decisions and drive product strategy
